Offsite Solutions Awarded £1m Contract to Supply Pods for Affordable Housing Scheme

Offsite Solutions has been awarded a £1m contract to supply 190 steel-framed bathroom pods to Wates for the first phase of Gascoigne West.

The scheme is a major regeneration project in Barking developed by Be First. It will provide 201 new affordable and sustainable homes for local people on a former 1960s housing estate.

Due for completion in 2022, the scheme has been designed to accommodate a mixed tenure community with over 60 per cent of homes available for affordable rent.

The one, two and three-bedroom homes are provided in four buildings from three-storey townhouses up to 13-storey apartment blocks.

The architects are White Arkitekter.

Steel-framed bathroom pods give developers a premium aesthetic with traditional ceramic tiling, a high quality finish and exceptional design flexibility for large-scale residential developments as well as hotels and student accommodation.
