Factory transformation set to boost capacity to 15,000 pods per year
Major factory expansion in Somerset
To meet growing demand across all sectors, Offsite Solutions has announced a major transformation programme at its factories in Somerset. This upgrade will increase its offsite manufacturing capacity by 50%, enabling the production of up to 15,000 bathroom pods per year.
The new production methodology will optimise workflows and boost productivity, helping clients address construction skills shortages – a major challenge for developers and contractors across the UK.

An influx of new orders
Driven by strong demand for both its GRP and steel-framed bathroom pod solutions, Offsite Solutions exceeded its entire 2022 turnover in just the first nine months of 2023.
According to James Stephens, Managing Director of Offsite Solutions:
"Despite the economic uncertainty that has impacted UK construction, we expect 2023 to be one of our best years for financial performance in our 19-year history. Our strong order pipeline and high level of repeat business mean that we are on track to reach our sales target of £40m in 2024 with record profit levels."
"We are seeing rising demand for our pods in every sector – co-living, student accommodation, hotels, and affordable housing."

Recent contract highlights
Recent wins include a £2.4m contract to manufacture 761 pods for a 20-storey student scheme at Wembley Park, developed by Greystar. This is Offsite Solutions' second pod contract with main contractor McAleer & Rushe and is scheduled for completion in Spring 2024.
Meeting sector-wide demand
The key drivers for offsite construction remain clear: severe skills shortages, the need for greater environmental performance, and a growing emphasis on programme certainty.
Offsite Solutions’ ongoing investment in capacity and innovation reinforces its position as the UK’s leading bathroom pod manufacturer, supporting construction efficiency at scale.
