Managing Director

Following completion of his Masters in International Commercial Law & Business, James spent 10 years as a solicitor in London with SJ Berwin and Jones Day, specialising in commercial and corporate law. James won the Nottinghamshire Young Business Person of the Year award for 2009; sponsored by KPMG and Nottinghamshire County Council. James is also a Director of Deanestor Plc. and Dentalstyle Limited.

Richard Tonkinson BSc Hons (Edin), ACSI

Executive Director

After graduating from the University of Edinburgh, Richard spent 10 years in the City of London with Rothschilds, Williams de Broe and Citigroup/Solomon Smith Barney. Latterly, Richard was the department head for UK Equity Brokerage at Citigroup.

He has experience in a wide range of Capital Markets and has worked on numerous corporate transactions including M&A, IPOs/AIM admissions and secondary fund raisings. Richard was Money Week’s Stock-picker of the Year and has written for a variety of financial & industry publications.

In 2018 Richard participated in the House of Lords Committee Inquiry into Off-site Manufacture for Construction. He holds a postgraduate diploma in accounting from LSE and is Executive Director of Ryton Estates, HiWater, Deanestor, and Dentalstyle 

Hugh Prior-Palmer BSc Hons 

Planning & Quality Director

After graduating with a business and marketing degree, Hugh joined a management consultancy focused on process and productivity improvement, business restructuring, and systems re-engineering. He then held a number of senior management roles across manufacturing sectors including food, automotive, and plastics.

Hugh has extensive experience in production planning and systems, and was instrumental in the development of Offsite Solutions' current pod manufacturing systems. These allow the company to manage complexity and variety with a high degree of accuracy and reliability. Hugh joined Offsite Solutions in 2006.

Jon Harrod FCCA

Finance Director

Jon is a prize winning Chartered Certified Accountant with over 25 years’ experience across Big Four audit and senior financial leadership roles in complex manufacturing environments. He began his career at Ernst & Young in Bristol, developing a strong grounding in governance, financial control, and regulatory compliance.

Before joining Offsite Solutions, Jon spent more than a decade in senior finance positions within an international manufacturing group, leading multi-site operations, financial transformation initiatives, and strategic planning. Appointed Finance Director in November 2021, he brings a pragmatic, hands on leadership style, combining rigorous financial discipline with a collaborative approach to support the Board through strategic insight, commercial decision making, and long-term value creation.

William Tonkinson BSc Hons (Edin)

Director

After graduating from the University of Edinburgh, William entered the financial services industry. Following a period with Rothschilds, he joined the group companies and became Managing Director of Dentalstyle Ltd in 2004. Under his leadership, Dentalstyle became the UK’s leading manufacturer of dental cabinetry. William has played a key role in the development of product ranges and client bases at both Dentalstyle and Deanestor, and became Managing Director of Deanestor Plc. in 2013.
