GRP bathroom pods

A cost-effective, robust solution for repeatable bathroom design

Built for strength, simplicity and speed

A durable bathroom solution for high-demand environments

GRP bathroom pods from Offsite Solutions are designed for durability and ease of use in high-traffic, demanding environments. Ideal for sectors like student accommodation, co-living, hotels, military sites and healthcare, they offer long service life and ease of maintenance – with none of the issues associated with in-situ builds.

Our pods consistently reduce operating costs. In serviced apartment schemes, GRP units have been shown to lower lifecycle maintenance costs by more than 90%. Capital outlay is also significantly reduced, often by up to 20% when compared to steel-framed alternatives.

A uniquely engineered panel system

Faster installation, better finish and structural integrity

At the core of every GRP pod is a unique panelised construction system. The approach delivers perfectly vertical walls and 90° corners, unlike single-mould GRP designs which create tapered edges and unsightly radiused corners. That makes installation faster, easier and more precise – allowing standard door sets to be used without modification.

The construction includes a fully waterproof bunded base, edge-to-edge vinyl flooring for a clean, seamless look, and recessed niches incorporated within the pod carcass without any joints. Built using marine-grade, WRAS-approved gelcoats and resins, the wall and ceiling panels also feature a structural rigid foam core, enhancing rigidity and protecting against delamination.

When requested, gypliner brackets are fixed to the exterior for quick, easy dry lining on site – making integration with surrounding structures more efficient.

Consistent quality, tested and extended lifecycle

Factory-controlled production with full quality assurance

Every GRP pod is built in Offsite Solutions’ dedicated UK facilities. This ensures consistent high quality, greater manufacturing efficiency and significantly reduced time on site. Each unit undergoes stringent pre-delivery testing and is backed by a 50-year carcass lifecycle (terms apply).

These pods are widely used across:

  • Student housing
  • Acute and mental health hospitals
  • Military accommodation
  • Hotels and hospitality
  • Co-living
  • New build and conversion projects

Design options to meet any brief

Standard, bespoke and demountable configurations available

Offsite Solutions holds a large library of GRP pod designs, helping reduce lead times and cost through repeatable layouts. For larger-scale schemes or unique requirements, fully bespoke pods can be developed.

Demountable pods are also available, delivered in sections for on-site assembly; ideal for refurbishments, change of use, and projects with restricted access, such as constrained stairwells or tight service cores.

Optional features include floorless construction to minimise floor build-up, various wall finishes (tile-effect, matt), pre-wired electrics, thermostatic brassware, anti-ligature fixtures, and a wide range of integrated vanity and wall-mounted cabinets.

Expanded tile-effect finishes

A broader choice of factory-applied surfaces

To meet growing demand for design flexibility in private rental and residential schemes, Offsite Solutions now offers five factory-integrated tile-effect finishes.

These can be combined – with up to two finishes per pod – and are moulded into the surface, eliminating the need for separate tiling or grouting.

This approach ensures a consistent finish across every unit and reduces time and risk during installation.

Hybrid GRP pods: enhanced for premium schemes

A refined aesthetic with the same GRP efficiency

For higher-end schemes such as luxury student accommodation, build-to-rent apartments and hotels, Offsite Solutions offers a hybrid GRP bathroom pod. These retain the structural advantages of GRP while incorporating premium design elements.

Hybrid GRP pods can include porcelain tiling – either part walls, bands or feature sections – along with inset glass or coloured acrylic panels. These can be used in shower enclosures, splashbacks and between cabinetry to enhance visual appeal and bring variation across a development.

Demountable versions are also available, supporting complex project logistics without compromise on quality or design.

Designed for delivery at scale

Reliable manufacturing, flexible finishes and rapid installation

Hybrid GRP pods are tested in the same way as standard GRP models and are backed by the same 50-year carcass lifecycles. They are built for consistent quality and minimal on-site work, helping keep projects on track and under control.

Available features include rain-head showers, glass doors, vinyl flooring, low-energy LED lighting and factory-prepared electrical and plumbing connections. Every detail is considered to make these pods visually impressive, reliable in use and easy to install at volume.
