Demountable GRP Composite Bathroom Pods

Originally developed for military refurbishment projects, demountable pods are now available in the complete range of GRP composite bathroom designs from Offsite Solutions. This level of design flexibility is a UK industry first.

The demountable pod solution uses a unique sectional design where the shower tray forms part of the floor and the wall panels create the shower enclosure.

Features include:

• Completely vertical pod walls with 90° corners so integration is very simple because there are no tapered walls
• Panel sizes are specially designed following a site survey to ensure full access for installation is achievable
• Pre-drilled holes for sanitaryware minimises work on site. Only the shower door needs to be fitted
• A wide range of wall finishes – tile effect, matt, gloss and feature recesses.

The advantages of demountable pods:

• Work on site is radically reduced – eight demountable pods can be reassembled on site in just one day with a three-person team
• Demountable pods can be used for areas of a building which may not have access for siting an assembled pod because of beam locations, columns or the architectural design. Pre-assembled pods can then be used for the rest of the building, maintaining consistent quality throughout
• Quality is enhanced with factory production
• Access for siting the pods can be via the main entrance, stairwells or through openings in the façade.

Applications for demountable pods include defence, residential, student accommodation, hotels, care homes, and healthcare.

GRP Composite Panels for Bathroom Refurbishment

Where a building has existing bathrooms which require refurbishment but wall positions are to be retained, we can provide GRP composite panels which are pre-cut to size and adhered to the existing wall surface. All sanitary and brassware items can also be supplied and fitted. Again these kits are fully assembled in the factory, broken down into components and then delivered to site.

GRP composite systems are a robust, lightweight structure, using easily manoeuvrable panels which are low maintenance, have easy-to-clean surfaces and offer long-term durability.

Finishes range from contemporary tile and granite effects and simulated painted plasterboard in any colour listed in the BS4800 or RAL colour range charts.

Ceramic Tile Refurbishment

If a building has existing bathrooms which need upgrading, but traditional tiled finishes are required, Offsite Solutions can provide a comprehensive renovation service – from design through to wall and floor tile selection, and full installation by skilled refurbishment teams.
