How Bathroom Pods are Tested

Every bathroom pod manufactured by Offsite Solutions undergoes a thorough quality inspection process at different stages in its production. We believe this is the most comprehensive testing process of any pod manufacturer in the UK.

Here’s what we do to give our customers even greater reassurance that we manufacture bathroom pods to the very highest quality standards:

• Plumbing – Stringent air and water tests are carried out on every pod at pre-calibrated static testing stations in the factory. The high-pressure water system is tested in accordance with BS EN 8558:2015 and the low-pressure waste systems in accordance with BS EN 12056.
  
  We are also the only pod manufacturer to undertake a full hot and cold water functionality test in the factory on 10 per cent of pods.
  
  Here all outlets have water passed through, including flushing pans, filling cisterns and turning on taps and showers to verify that the bathroom is fully functioning without issue.
   
• Electrics – The completed electrical installation has full function, continuity and resistance tests carried out by NICEIC-approved electricians and in accordance with BS 7671.
   
• Test certificates – these are provided for both electrics and plumbing.

Each pod has its own specific set of quality control documents. Offsite Solutions is the only UK  manufacturer to provide a unique ID number for every bathroom pod to ensure full traceability throughout its life for superior quality control.
