The Project
Developed by Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW), Coppermaker Square is a £670m residential-led development next to Westfield Stratford City shopping centre in London – and is one of the UK’s largest single-site build-to-rent schemes.
This high-quality mixed-use development has created around 1,200 new homes for rent in 11 buildings – three residential towers and courtyard mansion blocks up to 11 storeys.
The scheme forms part of the redevelopment of Stratford City and the Olympic Village and is set to transform Stratford town centre into an exceptional build-to-rent location for London.
Coppermaker Square provides one, two, three and four-bedroom homes with amenities including a gym, swimming pool, workspaces, and high-quality public realm and open spaces, such as play areas.
The Bathroom Pod Solution
Offsite Solutions was appointed to supply nearly 1,000 high specification bathroom pods in two multi-million-pound contracts.
We have manufactured 991 high specification, steel-framed bathroom pods in two phases, which ran concurrently.
There were two pod types and each have two colour palettes in dark or light grey.
There were 16 generic pod types for these phases, in four distinct colour palettes for a total of six buildings. The pods were delivered to a 12-month programme which involved over 200 deliveries to site.
Each pod took around 5 days from start to fully finished bathroom, including steel-framed construction, tiling, electrics, plumbing and fitting out.
There were:
- 238 unique parts for each pod
- 667 baths
- 309 showers
- 21,973sqm of tiling to walls and floors
- 86,000 kg of tile adhesives
- 991 toilets
- Bathrooms for apartments on 78 levels.
