Our Quality Control

• Full traceability – all our pods are manufactured for a specific location in each building and are supplied with a unique ID number so they are fully traceable throughout their life for superior quality control
• Robust pre-delivery testing processes – air and water tests carried out on every pod at pre-calibrated testing stations. There are additional functionality tests on a minimum of 20 per cent of pods where all outlets have hot and cold water passed through
• Inhouse NICEIC-approved electricians – our engineers carry out full function and resistance tests on the completed electrical installation
• Guarantee package – we offer guarantees of 12 years for steel-framed construction and 50 years for GRP composite pods, with back-to-back guarantees for sanitaryware and fittings
• Certifications  – our pods are manufactured to ISO 9001 for quality assurance and ISO 14001 for environmental management. We also hold certifications from FSC®, Constructionline (Level 4) and Achilles.

Our Superior Pod Construction

• Robust wall detailing for steel-framed pods – cementitious board construction for strength and to enable future adaptability to comply with loading requirements of Building Regulations Part M
• Fully tanked steel-framed pods – the entire wet area is fully tanked, not just half of the shower wall, as well as the floor outside the wet area for a superior finish
• Robust wall detailing for GRP pods – we use encapsulated honeycomb polypropylene. Cheaper alternatives such as cardboard can be susceptible to delamination
• Panelised GRP composite pod solution – this allows a tile-effect finish to be incorporated and creates vertical walls and 90° corners, improving aesthetics by removing the need for tapered walls. This type of construction also allows easier integration and the use of standard door sets
• Project-specific and certified lifting frames – we test each frame for every pod type for safe and level lifting. A method statement and test certificates are provided to the contractor in accordance with CDM regulations. In order to ensure safe lifting of each pod, we do not recommend the use of generic lifting frames. Lifting frames should be certified for each pod type on every project.
